The Central Wyoming Chapter supports a variety of conservation programs. Information on this page will keep you updated on our latest efforts on the conservation front. Want to get involved? Here are some of our recent conservation programs:

• $250 donation to the Wyoming Chapter, Foundation for North American Wild Sheep for a predator control project in Bighorn Sheep Hunt Area 22 (the badlands area) east/southeast of Dubois.

• $5,500 in donations to Conservation Force to support their on-going work to preserve hunting opportunities worldwide.

• $2,500 donation to the Wyoming Wildlife and Natural Resource Trust (WWNRT) in 2006 specifically earmarked for the Bates Creek Watershed Restoration Project.  The Central Wyoming Chapter also made application to the SCIF for a matching grant with the result that an additional $1,963 in matching funds was donated to the WWNRT by the SCIF. These donations were matched dollar for dollar from the challenge grant funds approved by the Wyoming Legislature in 2006 resulting in a total contribution of $8,926 to the WWNRT. • $10,000 donation over a two year period (2006 and 2007) to support the Wyoming Wildlife Heritage 2030 Conservation Congress held in Casper in May 2007.

• $2,500 donation to the Wyoming Wildlife and Natural Resource Trust (WWNRT) in 2009 specifically earmarked for the Lost Creek Winter Range Habitat Improvement Project.  The Central Wyoming Chapter also made application to the SCIF for a matching grant with the result that an additional $1,500 in matching funds was donated to the WWNRT by the SCIF.  These donations were matched dollar for dollar from the challenge grant funds approved by the Wyoming Legislature in 2006 resulting in a total contribution of $8,000 to the WWNRT.
